Hi my name is Rebecca McCarty. I attended Merrimack College in North Andover, MA for my undergraduate degree and graduated in May of 2006. I then attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA while working full-time and completed my Master of Taxation Degree in August of 2009.I currently work at Tonneson+Co in Wakefield, Massachusetts
I started studying for the CPA exam in the summer of 2009. I got married in the meantime so my studying kind of suffered with all the planning. I failed Audit and BEC. I picked myself back up again from feeling defeated by Audit scoring the dreaded 74 and took another stab at Audit. I passed with an 84 which was ten points higher than my first attempt! I am currently in the process of studying for BEC again and it is tough! Some days are frustrating and I want to throw my hands up and quit. Other days I feel as though I conquered the world in my studying and am confident I will pass! The joys of the CPA exam! Not necessarily a test totally based on knowledge but one on endurance too. I would really appreciate the opportunity to blog about my CPA exam experience as I think it will give me that extra drive to pass it!
As for my hobbies, who has time for hobbies when studying for the CPA exam!
All kidding aside I do enjoy doing things in my downtime. I have danced since the age of three so any chance I get to dance you will find me on the dance floor! I enjoy spending time with my loving husband and our two four-legged children (dogs!) Ivory and Jasmine. I love a good read whether it’s a novel or a gossip magazine. We also love to travel whenever we get the chance to. I am also a little bit of a gym freak! I try to get to the gym at least 5 days a week. I LOVE Zumba so I can dance and I also enjoy a good sweat session spinning!

Hello my name is Jola Pryka. I work for Kevin P Martin & Associates in Braintree. I received my undergraduate degree from UMASS Amherst and my MSA from Northeastern. I was born in Poland but moved to Stoughton, MA when i was 8 years old.My hobbies? Cooking, cooking, and cooking. I cook any chance i get!
The past two years I have employed as many excuses as I could to delay taking the CPA exam but unfortunately my time is up. With mounting pressure and the changes coming on the CPA exam I have decided its time to buckle down and start studying. I hope to give readers a unique view of studying for the exam a few years out of school while trying to balance full time work and all those other adult responsibilities we all have. Perhaps this will even help hold me a little more accountable and force me to get serious with my studying. All in all a win-win for everyone involved.

Can anyone recommend a private tutor for AUD located in the Boston / Cambridge area?
Thanks!
